Shaykh Asif Hussain Farooqui has been Arrested and is being Detained

Shaykh Asif Hussain Farooqui is a highly respected and eminent member of the UK Muslim community, whose personal example and teachings have always reflected the peaceful, law-abiding essence of Islam. He has had a profound influence in promoting harmonious community relations over many years.

The Filth of the Shiites is spreading...‏

In the name of Allah Most High

Some of you might have heard and some watched the recent rampage of the Shias in Madinah. Buses of shias entered Madinah from Qateef (eastern part of Saudi and their stronghold)

Tramping graves in Baqee, desecrating graves, marching, screaming, slandering Umar and the sahaaba outside Baqee, inciting the guards to fight (who held back as they were few compared to the shias), cursing and then marching towards the Haram shouting, throwing bottles etc at the musalees who came out of the Masjid, shouting slanders at the sahaaba and sunni muslims, began fighting with musalees and then began to flee when sunni muslims (saudis, bengalis, (some) pakistanis, indians, sudanese, egyptians etc) - began fighting them back!!

A video of their rampage in Madinah
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lrPNzPLdURM

What their ulama have said concerning it
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZLdktBUaVtM

After this their "ulama" like Shirazi and Yasir Habib and others have been calling for the eastern region to rise up and revolt and claim independace from Saudi... Yasir Habib the Devil (and i say this knowing what im saying, he is the individual who has clearly stated that he makes it a duty to curse Abu bakr, Umar, Uthman and Asiha in every salaah) was in London recntly to protest outside the Saudi Embassy - Called for revolt/ destruction of Wahaabis/ building of shrines in Madinah and said no more will we ask you, but now we will do as we please - and no one can stop us!

Amar Nakshawani, one of their big boys in the UK, said the days of Taqiyah are over, we are in power everywhere - we need to free Madinah and the Prophet (saw) from this strangeness that they are living - our Imaams in Baqee are strangers, they need us to be there, in charge.

Allahul Mustaan!!

Is it not time to raise these issues in the minds of the awaam - to make it clear to them that the sunnis are one deen and the shiites on another and that there can be no way we can at all cooperate with shiites when they actively practise these evil actions.

But thhis event is part of a much larger paradigm shift.....

Shiites are becoming increasingly belligerent and becoming more and more aggressive in spreading their dawah. Over the last 2weeks I have heard from 2 separate people how someone they know has become a shiite. SubhanAllah. May Allah make us all firm upon the sunnah and protect us from misguidance.

What I have also noticed increasingly since the attack on Gaza is that more and more people show empathy towards the shiite. There seems to be a buy-in to their political standpoint irrespective of their religious beliefs. More and more people say with pride how Iran and Hezbushaitaan are perceived to be standing up to Israel. The armchair politician points at the perceived lack of response, belligerency and strength among the "sunni" states.

A few brothers have said to me that Iran is the real muslim power in the middle east. The Gaza war seems to have really impacted people. We must detach (in peoples minds) the political positioning of arab governments from the religious ideology in the country, especially places like Egypt, Lebanon amongst others. And we must continue to warn and remind our brothers and sisters what the shiite stand for.

If we stay inactive on this... we're in troub;e.

"Glory to be Allah who loved Abu Bakr and Umar so much, that he created a nation of millions that would curse them and thus give them their rewards until the Day of Judgement!"

Lungi of Rasulullah (SAW)

It was a noble habit of Sayyidina Rasoolullah sallallahu alaihe wasallam to wear a lungi (waist-wrap, sarong). There is a difference of opinion whether Sayyidina Rasoolullah sallallahu alaihe wasallam wore an izaar or not. According to Allamah Baijuri's research, it is more correct that he did not wear an izaar, although he possessed one. It is also said that after he passed away, there was an izaar in his belongings (estate). Ibn Qayyim says that Sayyidina Rasoolullah sallallahu alaihe wasallam purchased an izaar, and he must have purchased it to wear it. It has also been mentioned in many ahaadith that Sayyidina Rasoolullah sallallahu alaihe wasallam wore an izaar. Many Sahabah radiyallahu anhum wore an izaar with the permission of Sayyidina Rasoolullah sallallahu alaihe wasallam. (Zaadul Ma'aad)
Hazrat Abu Umamah radiyallahu anhu says, "I said to Rasoolullah sallallahu alaihe wasallam that the Ahlul-Kitab (People of the Book) do not wear a lungi, but they wear an izaar.
Sayyidina Rasoolullah sallallahu alaihe wasallam replied, "You must oppose the way of the non-believers. Wear an izaar, and a lungi too."
Hazrat Abu Hurairah radiyallahu anhu says regarding a long hadith (conversation) that he asked Sayyidina Rasoolullah sallallahu alaihe wasallam, "Do you wear an izaar?"
Sayyidina Rasoolullah sallallahu alaihe wasallam replied, "I do. I've been commanded to cover my body. No other thing covers the body more than this." The Muhadditheen state that this hadith is weak. (Naylul Awtaar)
Sayyidina Rasoolullah sallallahu alaihe wasallam mostly wore a lungi (waist-wrap, sarong) and a burdah (top-sheet, body-wrap). The sheet of the Sayyidina Rasoolullah sallallahu alaihe wasallam was four dhira' (cubits, hands) long, and two and a half dhira'a wide. According to one saying it is said that it was six dhira' long and three dhira' and one palm span wide. It is written that the lungi of Sayyidina Rasoolullah sallallahu alaihe wasallam was four dhira' and one palm span long and two dhira' wide

(112) Hadith 1
Hazrat Abu Burdah bin Musa Al-Ash'ari radiyallahu anhu reports, "Aishah radyiallahu anha showed us a patched sheet, and the thick coarse lungi, then said, "When Rasoolullah sallallahu alaihe wasallam passed away, he was wearing these clothes."

Commentary
It was a habit of Sayyidina Rasoolullah sallallahu alaihe wasallam to wear simple clothing right up to the time of his demise, even though the standard of living had generally improved. After the conquest of Khaibar the economic situtation of the Muslims became better. After the conquest of Makkah, the kings of other countries also began sending presents etc.. Despite this, Sayyidina Rasoolullah sallallahu alaihe wasallam did not change his standard of living. He lived simply and whatever was sent to him was distributed to others. A few examples have been mentioned in the book 'Stories of the Sahabah radiyallahu anhum'.
Imam Nawawi says that this hadith and other similar ones point to the fact that Sayyidina Rasoolullah sallallahu alaihe wasallam loved the Hereafter and stayed away from luxuries. Thick and coarse clothing makes one feel humble and simple, while the wearing of fine clothing makes one feel great and proud.
My saint, Maulana Hakim Jameelud-Deen Naginwi Ad-Dehlawi related an incident of Maulana Gangohi that when he went for Haj and while performing tawaaf, a blind saint was sitting on the outer side of the Mataaf. Whenever Maulana passed by him, he said softly, "Wear the clothing of the pious."
When Maulana completed the tawaaf and went to the side where the blind saint was sitting, he heard him say, "Khashin, khashin (coarse, coarse)," by which it was meant that the clothing of the pious was made of coarse material.
Sayyidina Rasoolullah sallallahu alaihe wasallam generally wore coarse clothing. There is also evidence that he, sometimes, wore clothing made of fine material due to some religious benefit, if it was available. He normally did not wear clothing made of fine cloth.
back

(113) Hadith 2
Hazrat Ubaid bin Khalid radiyallahu anhu says, "I was once going to Madinah Munawwarah. I heard a person from behind me say, "Wear the lungi higher because it avoids physical and spiratual najaasah (impurities)." (The lungi will remain cleaner and will not become dirty by being dragged on the ground.)
When I turned to see who was talking, I saw that it was Rasoolullah sallallahu alaihe wasallam. I said, "O' Rasoolullah, this is a simple lungi, how can one become proud, and it is necessary to look after it (keep it clean)?"
Rasoolullah sallallahu alaihe wasallam replied, "If you see no benefit in it, your following me has not ceased."
While Rasoolullah sallallahu alaihe wasallam was telling me this, I saw that his lungi reached till half his shin."

Commentary
We have been warned strictly in the ahaadith on the wearing of a lungi or trousers below the ankle. All those parts that droop below the ankles will be burnt in the fire. Abdur-Rahman says, "I asked Abu Saeed Khudri radiyallahu anhu regarding the lungi. He replied, "You have a very meaningful question. Rasoolullah sallallahu alaihe wasallam has said, "The lungi of a Muslim should reach till the middle of the shin, and there is no harm if it reaches above his ankles. But those portions that droop below the ankles will burn in the fire of jahannam. The one that lets his clothes droop below his ankles in pride, Allah Most High will not look at him on the Day of Judgement." (Abu Daud).
Warnings like these have been given in other ahaadith too. One should take strict care of this. In our time it has become a fashion to let the clothing droop below the ankles, so much so, that we treat it to be something petty and pay no heed to the warning of Sayyidina Rasoolullah sallallahu alaihe wasallam. To Allah is our complaint.
back

(114) Hadith 3
Hazrat Salamah bin Akwa radiyallahu anhu says, "Uthman radiyallahu anhu wore his lungi till the middle of his shin and said, "This is how my master Rasoolullah sallallahu alaihe wasallam wore his lungi."

(115) Hadith 4
Hazrat Hudhaifah bin Al-Yamaan radiyallahu anhu reports that Rasoolullah sallallahu alaihe wasallam caught the shin of my leg, or of his own leg and said, "This is where the lungi should reach, and if not, then a little further down, and if not, then the lungi has no right on the ankle." (For this reason the lungi should not reach over the ankles.)

Commentary
It is haraam to cover the ankles when wearing a lungi or an izaar etc.. The Ulama say that only those people are exempted who have a boil or a sore on the ankle, which will cause flies etc. to sit on it. Only then shall it be permissible to cover it with a lungi or izaar etc., with the object of safeguarding it till it heals.

The Reality of a Fake Peer's Kashf Exposed

Those people who claim that the peer knows everything are holding firm to an ignorant and nonsensical belief. In our province of Partabgarh in India, a fake peer who was a deceitful fraud once visited us. He used to claim that he could tell the people about whatever was in their stomachs. He had some jinns under his control, and the jinns would inform him as to what the people had eaten. In this manner, many ignorant people began to believe in him and start to visit him. He would neither offer Salah nor keep fasts, nor encourage others to do so.

There was one buzurg, Baba Najmul Hasan who was a Majaze-Suhbat(1) of Maulana Thanwi. He personally told me that he sent a person to this fake peer. He said, ‘I told him to say to the peer in front of all of his mureeds, ‘I have heard that you are able to inform people what they have eaten. I want to put you to the test. Tell me the exact time that you will excrete that stool that is in your stomach! In other words, when is the exact second that you will defecate? I will spend the night here and in the morning I will check the time as to whether or not it conforms to that which you have claimed!

The fake peer thought to himself, ‘If I tell these people the exact time and I do not defecate accordingly then I will be disgraced. If on the other hand I take a laxative then I will end up going before mentioned time.’ He then said, ‘You are a wahabi! Leave from here!’ So when his disciples saw that he was unable to give a reasonable answer they all fled from there. In this way, Partabgarh was saved from the mischief of this fake peer.

The Prophet Muhammad S.A.W

His physical attributes

There is absolutely no way to conceal the fact that the Prophet is the worthiest of all mankind, the greatest of them in position and most perfect of them in good qualities and virtue. I am setting out to detail his qualities of perfection in the best way I can, which has filled me with longing to call attention to some of his attributes, may Allah bless him and grant him peace.

Know, may Allah illuminate my heart and yours and increase my love and your love for this noble Prophet! - that if you were to look into all those qualities of perfection which cannot be acquired and which are part of one's constitution, you will find that the Prophet has every one of them - all of the various good qualities without there being any dispute about it among the transmitters of the traditions.

The beauty of his form and the perfect proportion of his limbs are related in numerous sound and famous traditions from 'Ali, Anas ibn Malik, Abu Hurayra, Al-Bara' ibn 'Azib, 'A'isha, Ibn Abi Hala, Abu Juhayfa, Jabir ibn Samura, Umm Ma'bad, Ibn 'Abbas, Mu'arrid ibn Mu'ayqib, Abu't-Tufayl, Al-'Ida' ibn Khalid, Khuraym ibn Fatik, Hakim ibn Hizam and others.

He had the most radiant colouring, deep black eyes which were wide set and had a sort of red tint to them, long eyelashes, a bright complexion, an aquiline nose, and a gap between his fronth teeth. His face was round with a wide brow and he had a thick beard which reached his chest. His chest and abdomen were of equal size. He was broad-chested with broad shoulders. He had large bones, large arms, thick palms and soles, long fingers, fair skin and fine hair from the chest to the navel. He was neither tall nor short, but between the two. In spite of that, no tall person who walked with the Prophet seemed taller than him. His hair was neither curly nor straight. When he laughed and his teeth showed, it was like a flash of lighting or they seemed as white as hailstones. When he spoke, it was like light issuing from between his teeth. He had a well-formed neck, neither broad nor fat. He had a compact body which was not fleshy.

Al-Bara' said, "I did not see anyone with a more beautiful lock of hair resting on a red robe than the Messenger of Allah."

Abu Hurayra said, "I have not seen anything more beautiful than the Messenger of Allah. It was as if the sun was shining in his face. When he laughed, it reflected on the wall."

Jabir ibn Samura was asked, ''Was his face like a sword?" He replied, "No, it was like the sun and the moon. It was round." (In al-Bukhari and Muslim and elsewhere)

In her description, Umm Ma'bad said, "From afar, he was the most beautiful of people, and close up he was the most handsome." (Al-Bayhaqi)

Ibn Abi Hala said, "His face shone like the full moon."

At the end of his description, 'Ali said, "Anyone who saw him suddenly was filled with awe of him. Those who kept his company loved him."

All who described him said they had not see anyone like him either before or since.

There are many famous hadith which describe him. We will not take the time here to give them all. We have restricted ourselves to some aspects of his description and given a summary of them which is enough to serve our purpose.

You will find, Allah willing, that we have concluded these sections with a hadith which combines all these things.

Hazrat Rabia Al-Basri(ra) [The Jewel of Basra]

"I am a poor orphan and a slave. Now my hand too is broken. But I do not mind these things if Thou be pleased with me. But make it manifest to me that you are pleased with me." (Rabia Al-Basri)

Life sketch
Rabi'a's parents were so poor that there was no oil in house to light a lamp, nor a cloth even to wrap her with.

She was the fourth child in the family. Her mother requested her husband to borrow some oil from a neighbor. But he had resolved in his life never to ask for anything from anyone except the Creator; so he pretended to go to the neighbor's door and returned home empty-handed.

In the night Prophet (saw)

Rabi'a's father got up and went to the Amir straight with tears of joy rolling down his cheeks. The Amir was delighted on receiving the message and knowing that he was in the eyes of Prophet, he distributed 1000 dinars to the poor and paid with joy 400 to Rabi'a's father and requested him top come to him whenever he required anything as he will benefit very much by the visit of such a soul dear to the Lord."

After the death of her father a famine overtook Basra and she parted from her sisters. Once she was accompanying a caravan, which fell into he hands of robbers. The chief of the robbers took Rabi'a I his custody and as an article of loot, and sold her in the market as a slave. The new master of Rabi'a used to take hard service from her.

She used to pass the whole night on prayers, after she had finished her household jobs. She used to pass many her day observing fast.

Incidentally, once the master of the house got up in the middle of the night, and was attracted by the pathetic voice in which Rabia was praying to her Lord. She was entreating in these terms,

"Lord! You know well that my keen desire is to carry out Your commandments and to serve Thee with all my heart, O light of my eyes. If I were free I would pass the whole day and night in prayers. But what should I do when you have made me a slave of a human being?"

At once he felt that it was sacrilegious to keep such a saint in his service. He decided to save her himself. In the morning he called her and told his decision that thenceforward he would serve her and she should dwell there as the mistress of the house and if she insisted on leaving the house he was willing to free her from bondage.

She told him that she was willing to leave the house to carry on her worship in solitude. This the master granted and she left the house.

Was the door ever closed?

Salih Qazwani always taught his disciples, "Who knocks at the door of someone constantly, one day the door must be opened to him" Rabi'a one day heard it and said,

"Salih, how long 'will you go on preaching thus, using the future tense, saying 'will be opened'? Was the door ever closed? It was ever open."

Separation... simply unbearable !

One day, people asked why she kept no knife in the house. Rabi'a replied,

"Cutting asunder is the wok of the knife. I fear it may not asunder the bond between that exist between me and my beloved Lord."

A fervent prayer
One day she was going on an errand. Whilst passing a street a vagabond pursued her. She ran to save herself from him, and in doing so her foot slipped and she fell down and broke her arm.

She thereupon prayed to the Lord,

"I am poor orphan and a slave. Now my hand too is broken. But I do not mind these things if Thou be pleased with me. But make it manifest to me that you are pleased with me."

The Divine voice in reply said, "Never mind all these sufferings. On the day of judgment you shall be accorded the status that shall be the envy of the angels even." Then she returned to her master's service.

Thanking the Lord

One day Sufyan Thauri went to Rabi'a. She passed the whole night in worship, standing before the Lord. When the morning broke she remarked,

"God be praised that He conferred His grace on us that we could pass the whole night in prayers. As a mark of gratitude, let us pass the whole day in fasting."

The joy of pain!

A man was crying, "Ah! How great a pain!" Rabi'a approached him and said, "Oh! What a lack of pain" He asked her why she said the contrary. She replied,

"Because pain is the privilege of great devotees, who cherish even with the joy even so much anguish that even talking and drawing breath become a matter of strain to them."

Why no bandage for His bliss?
One day Rabia saw a man passing on the way with his forehead tied with a bandage. She asked him why he put on the bandage. He replied that he was suffering from headache.

"What is your age?" she asked.

He replied that he was thirty.

She asked, "Till today, how have you passed your life?"

He replied, "In perfect health".

She said, "For thirty years the Lord kept you sound, and you did not fly any colors on your body to express your gratitude for His gift, so that people could ask you the reason for your joy and knowing of God's blessings on you would have praised Him, but when for your own fault you have suffered from a little headache you have tied a bandage and go about exhibiting His harshness to you in making you suffer from headache. What a base act is yours!"

Neither this nor that world, You are enough for me
O Lord,
If tomorrow on Judgment Day
You send me to Hell,
I will tell such a secret
That Hell will race from me
Until it is a thousand years away.

O Lord,
Whatever share of this world
You could give to me,
Give it to Your enemies;
Whatever share of the next world
You want to give to me,
Give it to Your friends.
You are enough for me.

O Lord,
If I worship You
From fear of Hell, burn me in Hell.

O Lord,
If I worship You
From hope of Paradise, bar me from its gates.

But if I worship You for Yourself alone
Then grace me forever the splendor of Your Face.
